Is the rechargeable battery replaceable?
Yes. We designed the Gramovox Bluetooth Gramophone so it would last generations. Thus, we've made it incredibly easy to replace the battery when the time comes.
How long does it take for the battery to be fully charged?

Is this meant to replace my Bose, Jambox, or Sonos setup?
No. The Gramovox Bluetooth Gramophone isn't trying to compete with HiFi wireless audio speakers. Our company philosophy is to reimagine vintage A/V equipment into functional contemporary art. Our current product is a visually breathtaking art piece that reproduces the vintage, organic sound of the 1920s speaker horns.
How do I know when my bluetooth gramophone is on or off? How do I know when it has a low battery?

When the Bluetooth Gramophone is in a Paired state, i.e., it is connected to a Bluetooth-enabled device, a second ascending three-note tone will play. Can I buy two bluetooth gramophones and pair them together for stereo sound?
No. Like the original gramophones, the Gramovox Bluetooth Gramophone only functions as a single-channel speaker.
Can I play the bluetooth gramophone while plugged into an outlet?
Yes. You can power the Gramovox Bluetooth Gramophone through a wall outlet using the provided USB power block. We realized early on that a majority of our customers will keep the Gramovox in a permanent location, so we designed the electronics with the user in mind.
Can I also play music through a wired connection?
Yes. You can connect your phone, computer, or any music-playing equipment to the Bluetooth Gramophone using the 3.5mm cable that is included in your order.
Can the bluetooth gramophone be paired to more than one device at a time?
No. The Bluetooth Gramophone can only be paired to one device at a time. If you are having trouble pairing to your Bluetooth Gramophone, make sure it is not already paired to something else. You may need to select "Unpair" or "Forget this device".
How do I set it up?
First, place your Floating Record on a stable surface. Carefully insert the spindle of the acrylic platter into the hole on the plinth. The platter should feel secure, but spin freely. Wrap the plastic belt around the edge of the platter, down to the gear in front. Place the belt on the inner part of the gear for 33 ⅓ RPM, and on the outer gear for 45 RPM. Unscrew the cap on the platter to place your felt mat on. Plug in the Floating Record, and you are ready to go!
Can I hook up different speakers?
Yes! The Floating Record has stereo RCA audio outputs so that you can integrate it seamlessly into your audio setup.
Does it run on battery?
No, the Floating Record runs on AC power and must be plugged into an electrical outlet.
Can I get replacement parts?
If you have a problem with your Floating Record, please send it back to us and we will repair it for you. For this reason, we recommend holding on to all the original packaging. We will also make certain parts available for purchase on our website.
Can I replace the stylus/cartridge?
Yes! However, we recommend that only very experienced users do so.
How do you prevent feedback from the vibrations of the internal speakers?
Through a number of engineering techniques, including isolating the tonearm's counterweight and compensating for the resonance of the wood base, we have managed to eliminate any resonance or feedback issues from the speakers, even at maximum volume.
Is the force of the stylus the same as on a horizontal record player?
Yes! The tonearm comes pre-set to a tracking force of 2 grams, which is optimal for the Audio Technica cartridge and stylus we use. Thus, the force will be no more than it would be on a horizontal record player and will not scratch or wear out your records. The tracking force can be adjusted, but we recommend that only very experienced users attempt to do so.
How do you prevent gravity from pulling on the tonearm?
The tonearm is radially balanced, meaning that it will remain perfectly balanced no matter where it is positioned, effectively eliminating the force of gravity. The stylus, therefore, remains in the center of the record’s groove, no matter what. For this reason, you can safely play your records on the Floating Record without having to worry about any damage.
How does the record stay on?
The platter is not perfectly vertical, but rather it is set at a 5-degree angle, allowing the record to rest on it. There is also a knob on the front that attaches to the spindle and secures the record in place, so that you can be sure there will be no slippage.
Is the tonearm manual or automatic?
The Floating Record comes standard with a cueing arm to help you accurately place the stylus anywhere on your record.
